President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), under the aegis of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), are currently holding a closed-door meeting with the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).
The meeting is taking place at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Sources said the invitation extended to the NLC leadership is aimed at deepening dialogue between the Federal Government, state governors and organised labour amid heightened economic pressures ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The engagement is reportedly focused on strengthening governance dialogue, promoting stakeholder collaboration and ensuring inclusive participation in national development initiatives across the federation.
As of the time of filing this report, details of the deliberations at the meeting were yet to be made public.
