At the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu will leave Abuja on Monday for the G-20 Leaders’ Summit in New Delhi, India.
This was announced on Sunday by President Trump’s media adviser, Ajuri Ngelale.
The President will also take part in the Nigeria-India Presidential Roundtable and the Nigeria-India Business Conference, both of which will take place on the sidelines of the summit.

The CEO roundtable will feature prominent businesses and government officials from both Nigeria and India.
According to Ajuri’s statement, Tinubu plans to use this forum to drum up FDI in Nigeria’s main labor-intensive industries, which will lead to more job creation and tax revenue.
In addition, he’ll use the speech to promote Nigeria as an investment hotspot by detailing his comprehensive reform program, the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Because of the President’s extensive background in luring investors to Lagos State, many prominent businesspeople have requested one-on-one meetings with him during the summit.
In addition to attending G-20 and non-G-20 summits, the President will have bilateral encounters with a wide range of world leaders from all four continents.
These activities are designed to improve economic, trade, and investment ties between the two countries.
The Nigerian leader will present Nigeria’s view on the summit’s theme, “One Earth, One Family, One Future,” which will emphasize the need for international cooperation to solve the problems facing humanity and the planet.
The G-20, he said, “constitutes a significant economic power bloc of socio-economic opportunity and geo-political stability, with its collective contribution of up to 80% of global GDP, 75% of international trade, and housing 60% of the world’s population.”
