Senate President Bukola Saraki has vowed that the upper chamber of the National Assembly will revisit the issue of fuel subsidy.
“We will revisit the #fuelsubsidy issue on the floor of the Senate because it is one area through which we can demonstrate our commitment,” he wrote on Twitter.
“Fuel subsidy affects all Nigerians and we must ensure our people do not pay for the product and service they don’t enjoy.”
Subsidy payments have been responsible for fuel scarcity in recent times, with government finding it hard to settle payments to marketers. About N40 is said to be paid on each litre of petrol.
