A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dele Momodu, has predicted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu may soon face political challenges from individuals within his circle.
Momodu made the remark while speaking on Sunday Politics on Channels Television.
According to him, recent political developments, including the movement of some political figures to the ADC, indicate shifting alliances within the country’s political landscape.
Momodu cited the case of former Interior Minister, Rauf Aregbesola, whom he described as a long-time ally of Tinubu but who has now aligned with the ADC.

“Nobody knows Tinubu better than Rauf Aregbesola. He was governor in Osun State for eight years and commissioner for works in Lagos State, and he’s now in ADC,” Momodu said.
He added that several lawmakers and political figures were also moving toward the opposition platform.
“Look at the preponderance of senators, members of the House and everybody now trooping in,” he stated.
Momodu further predicted that the president might soon begin to face internal political pressures.
“Let me give you a prediction again. You know I’m a prophet; I was born and named Joseph at birth in Ile-Ife. I’m telling you that in the coming weeks and months, Tinubu will begin to lose sleep when he sees the true colour of human beings, they will show him,” he said.
He alleged that many individuals currently supporting the president might eventually pursue their own political interests.
“All those people who are expecting something from him today are pretending like the rattlesnake waiting and hoping they will get something. When they can no longer get it, they will seek their fortune elsewhere,” Momodu said.
Momodu also suggested that internal debates may arise within the All Progressives Congress (APC) over political strategy ahead of future elections.
“Even right now, their own vice president, a very cerebral gentleman, is at a crossroads. APC does not know if it can risk a Muslim-Muslim ticket again,” he added.
He reiterated that the coming months could reveal shifting loyalties within the political class.
