The Presidency has asserted that President Bola Tinubu will not remain silent in the face of escalating crises in states across the nation.
This statement comes after Tinubu’s involvement in addressing political unrest in Ondo and Rivers State.
Despite claims that Tinubu’s actions were undermining the affected states’ governments, his media adviser, Ajuri Ngelale, defended the move as a necessary step in the right direction.

Ngelale emphasized that Tinubu would continue to intervene in states grappling with political turmoil if it poses a threat to the country.
Speaking on Channels Television’s News Night, Ngelale stated, “If the President sees that [a political crisis] is devolving into something that is generating manmade insecurity, then the president needs to step in, and he took that wise decision to step in.”
Ngelale further highlighted the President’s role as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, emphasizing the priority of ensuring the safety and stability of the Nigerian people in any situation that might compromise their security.
