Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney has delivered a scathing assessment of Tottenham’s current form. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and the world has been reacting.
According to him, going 7 EPL matches without a single victory proves that Spurs are now in a relegation battle and must stop worrying about making the Top 5.
Rooney added that Tottenham should start thinking about competing with the likes of Nottingham Forest and West Ham to avoid relegation.
His words, “You’d have to say they are [in a relegation battle] with their current form. West Ham have been in form, Nottingham Forest pick up results here and there. You can’t think that they’re not in a relegation battle where they are. I think they’ll definitely be looking over their shoulders.”
On Romero’s red card, “I can see why it’s been given but I think it’s a little bit harsh. Sometimes you lose your head at times. And I think he’s done that throughout his time at Tottenham. What doesn’t help is comments in the week before about the lack of players Tottenham have. He clearly speaks his mind as well. But unfortunately, you’ve got to go and back that up with performances when you’re vocal like that – and I don’t think he’s done that.”

The club appeared in two consecutive League Cup finals in 1991 and 1992 the left and the right, but he’s not got any sense of danger yet, and empties the midfield area too readily.
