Harvard University has come out to criticise the Trump administration’s decision to revoke its ability to enrol international students. The prestigious university recently described the decision as unlawful and retaliatory.
According to Harvard spokesperson Jason Newton, the ban on enrolling international students is a major blow to the university’s academic mission, and it is a shame to see how the administration has resorted to this.
He added that preventing international students from enrolling will also have a negative impact on Harvard’s income, and it clearly undermines its academic mission.
His words, “We are fully committed to maintaining Harvard’s ability to host international students and scholars. This retaliatory action threatens serious harm to the Harvard community and our country, and undermines Harvard’s academic and research mission.”
