Nollywood actress, Uche Jombo has become a Twitter sensation overnight following a tweet she put out on Sunday, June 26, 2016.
The actress tweeted the full version of Jesse Williams BET speech calling for an end to police killings, inequality and cultural appropriation.
Williams was honoured with a humanitarian award after which he gave a powerful speech tweeted by Uche Jombo.
The actress’ tweet has since been shared over 8,000 times with several prominent sites such as The New York Times, The Guardian and others sharing her tweet.
Uche Jombo also took to Twitter to express her delight over this new found global fame. According to her, “I have never had ths many RT and likes, my TL is LIT..feeling myself for posting this speech. Monday motivation.”
Williams asides acting is a former teacher who champions causes related to civil rights. The same can be said for Uche Jombo who has been known to champion several civil right causes.
Recently, she reacted against the Nigerian Senate vote against the Gender and Equal Opportunity Bill.
