Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has declared that his country will not recognize previously approved military aid from the United States as loans requiring repayment.
Zelenskyy made this assertion on Friday while confirming that Kyiv had received a new draft minerals deal from the US.
Speaking at a press conference, the Ukrainian leader reiterated that Ukraine is open to negotiations with any Russian representative except President Vladimir Putin.

He also emphasized that Kyiv would not accept any agreement that threatens its integration with the European Union.
Regarding the US proposal, Zelenskyy stated: “I would like to note that officially, and this is important, the Ukrainian side—namely the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and my office—today, by a note, we officially received the US proposals.”
InfoStride News reports that a planned minerals extraction deal between Ukraine and the US failed to materialize last month following a televised confrontation between former US President Donald Trump and Zelenskyy.
Trump, in a White House address last week, stated that the US would “very shortly” sign a pact with Ukraine.
