In the months since Usher made headlines for allegedly infecting a woman with herpes, the Grammy-award winning singer has yet to address the scandal head on. It seems as the weeks pass by, bizarre details of the STD saga aren’t letting up.
But, the Confessions crooner appears to be unbothered ― and much of the same could be said for frequent collaborator and veteran producer Jermaine Dupri.
In the weeks since the accusations came to light, Jermaine has taken to social media to post several photos of him and Usher spending time between the studio, Sin City, and the beautiful beaches of Miami. But after a recent run-in with TMZ, it seems as though the So So Def founder is no longer staying mum on the subject.
On Thursday night (Sept. 7), the publication caught up with the super-producer in West Hollywood to hear his thoughts on the allegations against the singer. When asked how Usher has been coping, Jermaine simply responded, “Making music.”
“You gotta keep making music,” he continued. “God blessed him. He gotta keep making music.”
With Dupri’s response coming off rather nonchalantly, it’s fair to assume that neither him nor Usher are breaking a sweat over the scandal and are simply hard at work in studio. While the details of their upcoming project are scarce, fans can only hope that they have some heat in store.
