Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti has come out to say that Vinicius Junior remains focused ahead of Sunday’s LaLiga derby with Atletico Madrid. This is coming after the player spoke out over racist criticism of his dancing goal celebrations, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, the Brazilian is absolutely fine despite the controversy that has surrounded his name recently, and he expects him to keep helping his team win matches.
Ancelotti added that he’ll be sticking with the club’s and Vinicius’ statement on the ongoing back and forth.
His words, “First I want to stress that I don’t see this kind of racism in Spain,”
“Otherwise, I’ll stick to the club’s statement and Vinicius’ statement. After that, we’ll talk about football. The player is fine. He wants to play as always and help the team win the game.”
“It doesn’t affect the dressing room or Vinicius, that’s for sure,”
“We’re thinking about preparing for the game. These things aren’t spoken about in the dressing room.”
“Racism is much more important than what happens on the pitch,”
“I think the player has dealt with it well in his statement… For me, nothing is happening [to Vinicius.] He’s playing with joy, with the quality he has, with happiness.”
