Nollywood actor and musician, Wale Ojo, who is popular for his role in “Phone Swap,” is creating something new aimed at growing Nollywood.
While appearing on Day Pass with Accelerate TV, the actor revealed that he was in the process of building an openair cinema in Lagos.
“I really believe in community cinema – that is, cinema for the people,” he said. “What I’m trying to do is create a huge open-air space where everybody comes to watch a Nigerian film and pay about N150 to N200 to enjoy themselves”, Ojo added.
The outdoor cinema will be located at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos, and is expected to change the film viewing culture in Nigeria.
During his appearance on Day Pass, Wale Ojo also took viewers on tour of his production studio, Digitrack. He also revealed his strange love for chocolate, and noodles with plantain.
Wale Ojo has featured in movies including “Father’s Day,” “Phone Swap,” “8 Bars and a Clef,” “Ayamma,” “Render to Caesar” among others.
