After People’s Democratic Party presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar’s plea to rally opposition political parties, the All Progressives Congress (APC) said President Bola Tinubu remained unfazed in executing his campaign pledges of the Renewed Hope mandate.
The spokesman of APC, Felix Morka, reacting to Atiku’s demand for opposition political groups to merge against the ruling party, encouraged him to concentrate “on repairing his damaged political psyche and attempt to revive his comatose PDP” and leave APC out of his dilemma.
Here is an excerpt from a statement released by Morka: “However, we appreciate the former Vice President’s demand to opposition political groups to pull together to engage in opposition politics.
For our part, we will leave President Bola Tinubu alone as he works to make Nigeria a safer, stronger, and more prosperous country for the benefit of all citizens by implementing his Renewed Hope Agenda. That’s what the people of Nigeria want, and that’s what they should get.”
