PSG have yet to hold talks with Real Madrid about geting Cristiano Ronaldo to play for PSG, club president Nasser Al Khelaifi has told a French newspaper.
Ronaldo, 30, has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu in the upcoming summer transfer window, with former club Manchester United and three-time defending French champions PSG reportedly interested in the Portuguese star.
Reports in Spain have persisted that Ronaldo is unhappy with current Madrid manager Rafa Benitez, while the forward told ESPN last week that he would love to reunite with former coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Ronaldo again addressed the topic of PSG earlier in the week, revealing to Portuguese magazine Visao that while he prefers the city of Madrid to Paris, he couldn’t completely dismiss a potential move to the Parc des Princes.
Speaking about the speculation in an interview with France’s Le Figaro, Al Khelaifi confessed he had a strong relationship with Real president Florentino Perez but said the two men haven’t had any discussions regarding the Portugal captain.
“My dream is above all to win the Champions League,” Al Khelaifi said. “At the moment Ronaldo is at Real Madrid. He still has two and a half years on his contract.”
“I have an excellent relationship with [Real Madrid] president Florentino Perez. We haven’t started discussions about Ronaldo.
“He’s obviously a great player. But we already have lots of them in our team. [Angel] Di Maria is one of them. I’m very satisfied with our squad.”
