Athletic Club forward Nico Williams has officially addressed the intense speculation surrounding his future. He recently confirmed that he turned down several of Europe’s biggest clubs to remain in Bilbao, and fans have been reacting.
Admitting that he was the subject of significant interest from the Premier League, Ligue 1, and La Liga, Williams revealed that he rejected PSG, Arsenal and Barcelona to commit his long-term future to his boyhood team.

The Spaniard emphasised that the decision to stay was a personal one made alongside his brother, Inaki, and their parents.
His words, “I never had any doubts about wanting to stay here. Whether it was Barca or other clubs like PSG, Arsenal and many others, I said ‘no’ to everyone to stay here.
Felix was wrong in his words, things are not like that.
Nobody held a gun to my head to make me decide.
Social media networks are not real life.”
