The Federal Capital Development Authority FCDA has yet to list former Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, on its official website, https://www.fcda.gov.ng/.
Despite the fact that the Ikwere native was sworn in as the 18th FCT minister on August 16th, 2023, this is still the case.
Wike and Mariya Mahmud, the Minister of State, took the helm of the Federal Capital Territory on August 21.

Media outlets frequently check the FCDA website for updates, and they recently discovered that Mohammed Bello’s photo and bio as FCT Minister were still prominently displayed.
Some have speculated that the delay in acknowledging Wike on the website is due to a bureaucratic blunder, an internal argument, or a more serious problem with Wike’s appointment.
Some have voiced concern that this omission may interfere with normal FCT operations and communications. Wike yesterday voiced his displeasure with FCTA employees, adding a further layer of mystery to the affair.
