Bayer Leverkusen chief, Simon Rolfes has come out to speak about Xabi Alonso’s future at the club. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, Alonso already told him that there is nothing to the exit rumors surrounding him online, so he’ll be staying at Leverkusen beyond this season.
Simon added that Xabi has a contract at the club that runs until 2026, and he intends to honour it.
His words, “No, he’s staying, that’s it. He told me that there was nothing. He has a contract with us.”
