Yemi Alade’s Mama Africa album is enjoying a lot of fan patronage, as it is now the most pre-ordered African album on iTunes.
The singer shared her excitement about the sales performance of her album on Instagram.
The Peak Milk ambassador said “That moment when ur album #mamaafrica is the most pre-ordered African album on itunes. I can’t thank God enough! History in the making.”
She garnered a lot of interests with singles such as ‘Na Gode’, ‘Do as I Do’ and ‘Ferrari’, all from the Mama Africa album.
The album features contributions from some A-list artistes such as Inyanya, Olamide, Tekno and Selebobo.
The fifteen track album, which is also subtitled “a diary of an African woman” supposedly tells the story of every woman in Africa.
Alade explained that the album is inspired by the African heritage, which has been the source of her energy and newly found personality.
The singer came into the limelight after winning the Peak Talent Show in 2009.
