Frontline activist, Yesufu, has described the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as a “threat to opposition,” claiming that the party was effectively destroyed in 2014 due to its treatment of Nigerians.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Yesufu criticized the PDP for its arrogance, stating that the party believed it was “untouchable” and treated Nigerians poorly. She wrote, “The same PDP we were attacked for is the PDP you now know is destroyed?
PDP was destroyed since 2014! They believed they were untouchable and treated Nigerians like lepers.”
She continued, “Anyway, na when person wake up be im morning. Let me repeat! PDP is a threat to opposition.”
The PDP is currently grappling with a leadership crisis, particularly concerning the position of the National Chairman.
PDP chieftain and former spokesman for Atiku Abubakar, Segun Sowunmi, has accused President Bola Tinubu of exacerbating the crisis.
Sowunmi claimed that Tinubu’s appointment of Nyesom Wike as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) was made without consulting the elders of the PDP, further deepening the party’s internal divisions.
