After the conclusion of the elections and the inauguration of the new president, the Minister for the Federal Capital Territory has stated that all members of the Nigerian state are required to be aware of and comprehend the fact that the time has come to work cooperatively for the benefit of the nation.

According to him, President Tinubu has demonstrated that he both the capability as well as the political will to bring about positive change in the country, and as a result, he is deserving of the support of each and every Nigerian.
Wike declared, “Mr. President, now that he has emerged, is not a president of the APC.” Everyone in Nigeria answers to him as their president.
Speaking on the necessity of unity among politicians in Rivers State, regardless of their party affiliations, the Minister asked them to set aside their own interests and work for the collective good of the State by supporting President Tinubu’s administration. This was done while speaking on the need for unity among politicians in Rivers State.
He stated that in order for our state to move forward, it is necessary for us to have an understanding of the politics of the country as a whole. There have been so many states that have profited from it; we cannot let ourselves fall behind.
“It is imperative that we comprehend that a gathering is a means by which one arrives at a destination. However, after you arrive at your destination, you will exit the vehicle and proceed to your destination on foot.
“The interests of Rivers State are of the utmost importance. It is not in your best interest to proceed with this. It is in our state’s best interest to do so. What is in the best interest of our state is the focus of our protection at all times.
Wike also took advantage of the opportunity to reassure residents of Rivers State and the rest of Nigeria that the administration of the Federal Capital Territory will treat all Nigerians, including those from Rivers State, with fairness.
He declared, “I’m not going to treat anyone differently. I’m here to help the people of Nigeria. I’m here for those who belong to political parties as well as people who don’t belong to any political party at all.
“Please let me know if there are any issues. Do not identify yourself as a member of either the APC or the PDP. Tell me about the opportunities that are available to other people in Abuja. I do not consider myself to be a politician of self. I consider myself to be a politician for all of us.
