Youths In Nigeria Most Affected By Government Policies, Says APC

Young Patriots, the youth wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has urged Nigerian youths to identify with the political process by participating fully in it.

Its National Coordinator, Mr Echezona Asuzu, said this at a world news conference in Abuja on Friday.

According to Asuzu, there is the need to hear the voice of Nigerian youths in every matter of national development because they are the most affected by the government policies.
.
He said, “the youths constitute more than 62 per cent of Nigeria’s population and they should rise up and speak for themselves by taking part in the political process in the country.
.
Asuzu urged all Nigerians, especially the youths to take their destiny into their own hands by participating in the democratic process at different levels in the country.
.
According to him, Nigerian youths should be vigilant during elections and resist the temptation to be used by desperate politicians at all times.

The group urged Nigerian youths to register as APC members so that they could be part of the decision to choose credible flag bearers for the party during primary elections.

“ We appreciate Nigerian youths for coming out in large numbers to identify with APC in the ongoing registration.
.
“We want five million youths in Nigeria to register in APC and qualify to select or contest for political positions in the next elections,” Asuzu said.
.
He said the party’s activities were based on its ideologies as contained in its manifesto.
