The Office of the Vice President of Nigeria has announced the death of Yusuf Sabo Sambo (Capt.) after a ghastly motor accident along the Bill Clinton Drive, Airport Road, Abuja on Sunday April 27, 2014.
According to the report from the office, Yusuf Sabo Sambo, the immediate junior brother to Vice President Mohammed Namadi Sambo was a qualified pilot who worked with the former Nigerian Airways and the Presidential Air Fleet before retiring to private practice. He was born in 1956 and died at the age of 58. He is survived by his wife, three daughters and ten brothers and sisters.
“He has since been buried at the Apo cemetery, Abuja according to Islamic rites in the presence of Nigeria’s former Military President, Ibrahim Babangida (Army General); the former Head of State, Abdulsalami Abubakar (Army General) and several other dignitaries and sympathizers.
President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan also visited the Aguda House residence of the Vice President in the Presidential Villa, Abuja to condole him over the sad event. They prayed the Lord to grant his soul eternal rest,” it reported.
