The Zamfara chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has rejected the purported suspension of the state party chairman, Alhaji Tukur Danfulani.
In a statement issued in Gusau on Saturday by the state APC Publicity Secretary, Malam Yusuf Idris, the party described the suspension as invalid and baseless.
Idris stated, “The state APC leadership wishes to urge the public to discountenance the purported suspension of the state chairman of the party, Tukur Danfulani.

”The action came from some disgruntled promoters who paraded themselves as executives of the party’s Galadima Ward of Gusau Local Government Area.”
He further explained that the party was aware of the activities of some politicians aiming to disrupt the APC in the state, possibly to create a new party for the 2027 elections.
Idris emphasized that proper constitutional channels and laid down rules were not followed in the suspension process, rendering it invalid.
“All the claims raised by the discontented persons are baseless and unfounded, created to destabilise the unity being enjoyed within the party leadership and members at all levels,” he added.
Idris cautioned journalists and media organizations against hasty publications, advising them to verify such issues with the party headquarters in the state.
He pointed out that the document purporting to suspend the chairman lacked official party logos or letterhead, indicating a dubious act.
The statement concluded by reaffirming the party’s commitment to unity and progress, urging members to remain focused on the party’s goals.
