In response to the kidnapping of several female students from Federal University, Gusau, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has spoken out.
An unknown number of students from the Federal University of Gusau were reportedly kidnapped by gunmen on Friday morning, according to a report from Infostride News
Many university students were reportedly living in the Sabon-Gida community in the Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State when it was targeted by militants.
Obi urged his countrymen to refuse to let thieves and bandits dictate the terms of their daily lives.
If criminals try to dictate the norms by which we all must abide as a nation, we must fight back. And we must not let thieves and bandits ruin our country.
A safe and secure Nigeria is conceivable, he wrote on X, and that’s why “combatting insecurity” is a top priority in his idealized version of New Nigeria.
