Zimbabwe African Nations Championship (CHAN) goalkeeper George Chigova is heading to South Africa after Premiership club SuperSport United signed him this week. The 22-year-old, who plays for Zimbabwe national champions Dynamos has a good outing during the just ended CHAN where he conceded only two goals during six games and helped his country finish fourth.
A SuperSport official said the Zimbabwean signed a three-year deal and plans to join Pretoria outfit SuperSport in mid-year ahead of the 2014-2015 season. Chigova is currently playing in the Orange CAF Champions League with Dynamos. Chigova becomes the second Zimbo to be signed by a South African Premiership side after impressing at CHAN.
Striker Simba Sithole was snapped up by Ajax Cape Town after they has seen him play for Zimbabwe at CHAN finals. Sithole plays for How Mine who this season are Zimbabwean representative in the Orange CAF Confederation Cup.
