A troop of soldiers in masks, Tuesday stormed the Jimeta Shopping Complex situated in the heart of Yola, the capital of Adamawa state, arresting 17 persons suspected to be members of Boko Haram sect.
Residents had for a long time tagged the shopping complex with over 500 shops and stores as an enclave for hoodlums, following reports of incessant criminal activities in the area.
The marked soldiers, eyewitnesses say, stormed the Shopping complex at about 1pm and started arresting people they had already targeted to arrest, including men of the Civilian JTF that are helping the military in their operations against members of Boko Haram.
