Chairman of the Organisation and Mobilisation Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the South West and sole financier of PDP in Ogun State, Prince Buruji Kasamu, has flooded the ruling party’s headquarters in Abuja with bags of rice meant to induce voters to support President Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election in 2015.
The bags of rice which come in five kilograms sizes, are clearly marked as courtesy of Buruji’s as they bear his bogus title of “South-Western Mobilizer”.
The bags, which bear President Jonathan’s image and the PDP logo, has the inscription, “The Transformation Agenda Continues”.
Already, trailer loads of the rice have been distributed to some states and officials of the party across the country.
It would be recalled that Kasamu was one of the major points of disagreement between Jonathan and ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo in their exchange of letters last December, with the latter expressing displeasure over the handing over of the party structure in the South West to Buruji, who he described as a wanted criminal in the United States.
Buruji was also cited by Obasanjo in his letter to the ex-national chairman of PDP, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, as the major reason why he decided to suspend his participation in the activities of the party.
