“Ogun state is the home of PDP and we are no longer going to allow our opponents to push us aside again in 2019. We are back to take possession of what rightfully belong to us. The PDP elders are ready to work assiduously in their various local government areas to ensure PDP is back in power in 2019,” he said.
Speaking after the meeting, Chief Kolapo Ogunjobi who chaired the meeting, dismissed imputations that the meeting was summoned to reconcile some of the elders, saying that nothing of such happened at the meeting.
Ogunjobi maintained what was discussed was all about how PDP will outdistance other political parties in the 2019 general elections and that the leaders have agreed to work as a team towards returning PDP back to the summit in 2019.
