Bukola Saraki has accepted his loss after getting defeated as he attempted to seek re-election as senator representing Kwara Central senatorial district.
His words, “I wish the candidates that emerged in the Kwara polls all the best in their attempts to serve our people,”
“It is my prayer that the good people of Kwara State will always have the best from any government both at the state and federal levels.”
Saraki was defeated by All Progressives Congress’s Ibrahim Yahya Oloriegbe.
Saraki attracted 68,994 votes but ended being far behind the candidate of the APC who clinched 123,808 votes.
Saraki noted that even though the election was “generally peaceful” it was tainted by “multiple voting, over-voting and other discrepancies” all over the state.
