COVID-19 in Nigeria: 162 New Cases, 54,905 Total Cases and 1054 Total Deaths as of 5th September 2020

One Hundred and Sixty-Two (162) new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic were confirmed and reported in Nigeria within the last 24 hours. This was contained in the COVID-19 update provided by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The new cases reported are as follows:

Lagos: 53
Gombe: 21
Oyo: 19
Delta: 12
Ondo: 11
Plateau: 10
Ebonyi: 9
FCT Abuja: 6
Kwara: 6
Kaduna: 5
Rivers: 3
Ogun: 2
Anambra: 2
Imo: 2
Ekiti: 1

Currently, there are 54,905 confirmed cases in Nigeria with 1054 deaths. However, 42,922 people have so far recovered and been discharged.
