The Leader Of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, on Friday counselled the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on who to pick as National Chairman ahead of the 2023 presidential election.

Primate Ayodele said PDP should pick either former Governor of Kaduna State, Ahmed Markafi, or former Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, as its National Chairman.

The clergyman explained that picking either of the two names would boost the chances of PDP returning to power in 2023.

In a statement by his Media Aide, Oluwatoyin Osho, Primate Ayodele said the opposition party needs a serious and vibrant person who can give them victory in 2023.

Primate Ayodele warned that PDP must not make the mistake of picking the wrong candidate.

“PDP must not make any mistake. They need a serious, committed, and vibrant person that can give them victory in 2023.

“The party should choose between former Governor of Kaduna State, Ahmed Markafi, and former Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido,” he said.

There are current clamours within the PDP to remove the current National Chairman, Uche Secondus from office.

Some members of the party had said PDP might lose the presidency in 2023 if Secondus remained in office.
