2027: Men in Presidential Villa, Govt Houses Are Nigeria’s Problem – SDP’s Adebayo

The presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Adewole Adebayo, has said the concentration of political power in the Presidential Villa and government houses across Nigeria remains a major problem confronting the country.

Adebayo made the remark while speaking on the political situation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He criticised the political class for focusing excessively on occupying government offices rather than addressing the challenges affecting ordinary Nigerians.

According to him, Nigeria’s problems cannot be solved simply by changing the occupants of the Presidential Villa or state government houses.

The SDP presidential candidate argued that the country requires fundamental reforms capable of strengthening its institutions and improving the lives of citizens.

He called on Nigerians to look beyond personalities and political parties when deciding who to support in the 2027 elections.

Adebayo urged voters to examine the policies, competence and track records of candidates before casting their ballots.

He maintained that the 2027 election should be used to demand a new approach to governance and move the country away from a system centred on political power and access to public resources.

The SDP candidate said meaningful change would require citizens to hold political leaders accountable and insist on policies that promote economic growth, security and improved living standards.

He urged Nigerians to take the forthcoming election seriously, stressing that the country’s future would depend largely on the choices made by voters at the polls.
