Attacks targeted at the National President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor over the alleged use of his private jet to smuggle $9.3 million into South Africa is uncalled for, says Rt. Rev Diamond Emuobor.
Emuobor, the chairman of the association in Ughelli North Local Government Area chapter, Delta State, who asked that Oritsejafor should not be dragged into the murky water of politics noted that Oritsejafor remained a man of integrity.
“The world and Nigerians are aware that elements in the northern part of Nigeria are the ones using public funds to cause mayhem in the country,” said Emuobor.
According to him, none of those unsettling the North has been queried over the senseless massacre of Christians and a negligent few of the Muslims in that part of our country.
“Sitting governors, prominent politicians, and devout religious personalities in the north are dismembering Nigeria in their quest to possess the country as their emirate.
“None from the Christian position has leveled any attack at the eminent persons of the Muslim religion because Christianity thought us to honour leaders,” Emuobor said.
