Socio-political activist Reno Omokri has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 is now guaranteed, following the ouster of Abba Yusuf as the Kano State governor.
The Appeal Court found that Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf was not a member of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) at the time the elections were held, as reported by the media earlier on Friday.
Even though Yusuf of the NNPP won the election, the governorship election tribunal’s ruling that he is unable to serve as governor was upheld by the court.

In addition, the judges ruled that Governor Yusuf, the appellant, should have been excluded from the case.
According to Omokri, “Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 is more certain now that the Court of Appeals has removed Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano.”
“Why? Because Kano has the highest registered voters of any state and will deliver at least two million votes to presidential contenders in 2027. Unfortunately, such votes usually go in the direction chosen by the governor.
Waziri Atiku has proposed that the NNPP and the Labour Party unite with the PDP, and if the parties know what’s good for them, they’ll take his advice. Tinubu will reappear if they don’t combine forces. It makes perfect sense. Despite the fact that common sense is rare in Nigerian politics!
