The Department of State Services (DSS) has refuted claims of the arrest of Bello Bodejo, the President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore.
According to the DSS spokesperson, Peter Afunanya, Bodejo is not in the custody of the security agency.
In a brief statement released on Tuesday night, the DSS spokesperson stated, “He’s not with the DSS.”

Earlier reports had suggested that the DSS had apprehended Bodejo at the Miyetti Allah’s office located in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
The alleged arrest was reportedly linked to the establishment of a vigilante group known as the Nomad Vigilante Group.
The Fulani socio-cultural organization had recently unveiled this vigilante group in Nasarawa State, with Bodejo emphasizing that its purpose was to aid security agencies in combating criminal activities in the north-central state.
He mentioned that the group consisted of 1,144 Fulani youths selected from various communities across the state’s 13 local government areas, with plans to recruit up to 4,000 youths after ongoing profiling of interested individuals.
