Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, disclosed on Friday that rampaging bandits terrorizing some parts of the state have threatened to attack him.
The governor made this revelation during an expanded emergency security council meeting at the Government House.
According to Governor Radda, the bandits’ threat is based on security reports.

He stated in Hausa, “Based on security reports that we are receiving, I am among those that the bandits are thinking of attacking, but that doesn’t muddle me because God is with us, and he will protect us.”
Despite the threat, the governor emphasized that his government remains undeterred and will continue to adopt evolving security strategies to tackle banditry and other security challenges in the state.
The security meeting was attended by heads of security agencies in the state, traditional and religious leaders, top government officials, and members of the business community.
As of the time of filing this report, the meeting was ongoing.
