President Bola Tinubu has joined other Nigerians in mourning Mr. Ibrahim Lamorde, the former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), who passed away at the age of 61.
In a statement released on Sunday by his media aide, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu noted that the retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police was the pioneer Director of Operations and served as the third substantive Chairman of the EFCC from 2012 to 2015.

The President extended his condolences to the associates of the former anti-graft czar, the EFCC, the Nigeria Police Force, and the government and people of Adamawa State.
Tinubu also prayed to God Almighty to grant repose to the soul of the deceased and provide comfort to his family.
