Gunmen have reportedly abducted an officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and his orderly in Delta State.
The incident occurred near the agency’s head office around 8:00 p.m. as the officers were heading home after work.
According to sources, the heavily armed kidnappers ambushed the victims on the Isah-Ogwashi-Uku Road in Aniocha South Local Government Area.

Sources suggest that the perpetrators may have been tipped off about the officers’ routine, enabling them to carry out the attack with precision.
When contacted, the spokesperson for the NDLEA Delta State Command, Mr. John Kennedy, declined to comment on the matter.
This abduction adds to a growing wave of insecurity in Ogwashi-Uku, where five individuals have been kidnapped in the past 10 days.
Residents in the area have expressed fear and anxiety, noting that the criminals have been adopting new tactics to evade law enforcement.
The incident underscores rising concerns about safety and the need for increased security measures in the region.
