The All Progressives Congress (APC) has issued a stern warning to the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP)-led Kano State government following allegations made by Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam, against Professor Hafsat Abdullahi Ganduje, wife of former Governor and current APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
Abdulsalam accused Professor Hafsat of financial misconduct, claiming she interfered with pension funds during her husband’s tenure. In a widely circulated video, he alleged that pensioners were only paid after she had taken a share of the funds.
APC Condemns Allegations, Warns Against Crisis

Reacting to the accusations, Kano APC Publicity Secretary, Ahmad S. Aruwa, condemned Abdulsalam’s remarks in an interview with Express Radio, describing them as defamatory and unconstitutional.
Aruwa stated that the Deputy Governor’s comments amounted to character assassination and could incite political instability in the state.
He warned that such statements could escalate tensions, potentially leading to a declaration of a state of emergency in Kano, similar to what was recently imposed in Rivers State by the Bola Tinubu administration.
The APC called on the Kano State government to tread cautiously and avoid actions that could disrupt peace and governance in the state.
