The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu cannot personally attend to every Nigerian or political associate.
Wike stated this on Tuesday during an interview on *Politics Today*, a Channels Television programme, while responding to remarks made by former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal.
Lawal had recently suggested that he would not have been able to cope if he were serving in the current administration as a cabinet member.

Reacting, Wike alleged that Lawal’s dissatisfaction stemmed from not being chosen as Tinubu’s running mate in the 2023 presidential election.
“His anger is that President Tinubu did not choose him as running mate. It is very clear. We are not kids,” Wike said.
The minister further stressed that it was unrealistic for the president to attend to every individual directly, noting that Nigerians and stakeholders should work through ministers and advisers.
“Everyone cannot reach out to Tinubu. He can’t attend to everyone. People should meet with ministers and advisers,” he added.
