Unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted Mrs Patience Nasamu, wife of Pastor Samuel Nasamu of Word of God Church, Agyaragu, along with a female church member. The incident occurred on Sunday night in Agyaragu, Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
Narrating the ordeal, Pastor Nasamu said his wife, who is currently nursing a three-month-old baby, was taken away alongside a church member who had come to visit the family after a service.
According to him, he had stepped out to pray for another church member when his wife placed a distress call.

“All I could hear was her voice of prayer. She could not even tell me what was happening. When I got to the house, my wife and our visitor had been abducted, leaving behind our three-month-old baby,” he said.
He explained that the attackers stormed his compound, attempting to break into the apartment using a hammer.
When they could not force their way in, they began shooting sporadically, prompting his wife to open the door. The gunmen immediately abducted her and the church member as they tried to escape.
The pastor further revealed that around 7:00 p.m., some strange individuals were spotted on motorcycles in the community, and not long after, gunshots rang out. The abduction was carried out at about 8:15 p.m.
He added that, as of Monday morning, no contact had been made by the abductors. However, police operatives arrived at the scene after the incident and urged residents to remain calm, assuring them that efforts were ongoing to track down the criminals.
A resident of Agyaragu, who spoke anonymously, expressed concern over the rising cases of kidnapping in the area. He appealed to Governor Abdullahi Sule to act swiftly to curb the menace.
