The Director General of the Progressive Governors Forum, PGF, Folorunso Aluko, has revealed that six additional state governors are expected to join the All Progressives Congress, APC, before the 2027 general elections.
Aluko made this known on Thursday during the PGF Quarterly Strategy Meeting of Information Commissioners from APC-led states, held in Maiduguri, Borno State.
He expressed optimism about the ruling party’s growth and consolidation, noting that the APC is strategically positioned to expand its political dominance across the country.

According to him, the APC currently governs 24 states, but the number is expected to rise to at least 30 before the end of 2027.
Aluko said the forum is working to align state policies with the federal government’s vision and ensure that all APC-led states speak with one voice in promoting integrity, accountability, and renewed hope in governance.
“By the grace of God and the will of Nigerians, we are confident that the PGF will rise from today’s 24 states to at least 30 states before the end of 2027,” he stated.
“We are strengthening our strategic posture and aligning every message with measurable impact. And as we look towards 2027, our conviction remains firm — the APC will grow stronger.”
The Progressive Governors Forum serves as a policy coordination body for all APC governors, fostering collaboration and synergy between state and federal governments.
