The Nasarawa State Police Command has confirmed the killing of two persons and the abduction of one other following an attack by gunmen on Sarkin Noma community in Keana Local Government Area of the state.
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, noting that the incident occurred on Friday night and left several residents injured.
“Information was received that unknown gunmen invaded Sarkin Noma Village, where they abducted one person and shot two others dead.

Reacting to the unsavoury development, the Commissioner of Police deployed operatives attached to the Kadarko Division to the area. They combed the bush and arrested one Ero Yaro, 45 years old, of Sarkin Noma Village, in connection with the crime,” the statement read.
Nansel added that an investigation into the incident is ongoing, while police operatives have restored normalcy to the affected community.
