gov_sule-lamidoA youth group, Lamido Youth Movement, yesterday warned members of the National Assembly from Jigawa State against falling for the temptation to betray the State Governor, Alhaji Sule Lamido ahead of the 2015 election.

In a statement signed by the movement’s chairman, Malam Aliyu Muskula, the youths declared that they are solidly behind Lamido and ever ready to defend his interests.

“We heard that there are some members of the House of Representatives that are trying to betray Governor Sule Lamido ahead of the 2015. I want to remind those legislators that Lamido was instrumental to their election in 2007 and 2011. We voted for them because Lamido told us to do so. Anyone of them who is prepared to lose election should try and betray Lamido and see what will follow at the next election in 2015”.

Muskula said the youth are solidly behind the governor because he has touched their lives positively through various empowerment schemes adding that his group commands followership across the 27 local governments and are well mobilized for the 2015 election.

The group further described Lamido as the father of modern Jigawa and every stakeholder has testified to the transformation of the state in the last seven years adding that the political clout of the governor and his performance has endeared him to all and sundry.
