The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has alleged that the recent surge in terrorist attacks across the country is being aided by “internal saboteurs” working against Nigeria’s security interests.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the party’s spokesperson, Seye Oladejo, claimed that certain individuals embedded within Nigeria’s security and political structures were leaking classified information, undermining operations, and deliberately compromising national security efforts.
Oladejo said the pattern of recent attacks suggested elements of insider collusion, citing what he described as the attackers’ “unusual precision” regarding troop movements, unexplained disruptions at security checkpoints, and spikes in violence occurring around politically sensitive periods.

He further accused unnamed political actors of amplifying terrorist propaganda and weaponising insecurity for political gain.
“These are not random incidents. They reflect a disturbing level of betrayal,” Oladejo said.
The Lagos APC maintained that only insiders could enable such coordinated breaches and called on the Federal Government to identify, expose and prosecute those allegedly sabotaging security operations.
The party reaffirmed confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership, noting that his administration has adopted a “ruthless, intelligence-led strategy” to combat terrorism. It also commended the Armed Forces for their continued sacrifice despite what it described as sabotage by “a few bad eggs.”
Oladejo warned individuals allegedly aiding or abetting terrorist activities that their “network will soon be uncovered,” insisting that Nigeria would ultimately prevail over its security challenges.
“Nigeria will not be brought to its knees to satisfy the ambitions of saboteurs or external interests,” the statement added, expressing optimism that the nation will overcome its current threats.
