The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has announced the swearing-in of 17 newly appointed permanent secretaries in the state civil service.
The governor disclosed this via his official X handle on Tuesday, stating that the newly appointed officials had been formally sworn in and charged with upholding high standards of public service.
Makinde described the appointments as “a call to higher service based on merit,” noting that his administration had established structures to ensure a transparent and merit-based selection process that is representative.

He urged the newly appointed permanent secretaries to discharge their duties diligently and with integrity.
The governor also warned the officials against allowing personal interests to interfere with their official responsibilities, stressing the need for professionalism and commitment to service in the discharge of their duties.
