Liverpool manager Arne Slot has warned fans to temper their expectations regarding Alexander Isak’s return. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, the striker has been taking a cautious approach to avoid further risks, and he can only hope that Isak will make a full recovery soon.
Slot added that he expects Alexander to take some time to get up to speed when he finally comes back.
His words, “I have to mess up the party again. Let’s say [he comes back] at the beginning of April, he has been out for three-and-a-half months and hasn’t trained with the team for three-and-a-half months. The last time he did that, it took him a while to get up to speed.
I am really, really looking forward to having him back, but don’t get the expectations so high that the minute he’s on the pitch, he’s at the level of what we spent that money on.”

The capacity of the stadium at the time was 20,000, although only 100 spectators attended Liverpool’s first match at Anfield.
