The Ward Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Ketawa Ward, Gezawa Local Government Area of Kano State, Isyaku Ali Danja, has resigned from the party with immediate effect.
Danja disclosed this in a resignation letter dated March 29, 2026, stating that his decision followed careful consideration.
He expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve as a member of the party, noting that he gained valuable experience and built meaningful relationships during his time in the NNPP.

“I, Rt. Hon. Isyaku Ali Danja, a registered member of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), hereby wish to formally tender my resignation from the party with immediate effect.
“This decision has been made after careful consideration.
“I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to have been a member of the party and for the experience and relationships built during my time as a member of the party.
“Thank you for your understanding and cooperation,” the letter read.
His resignation adds to the growing list of political developments within party structures amid evolving realignments ahead of future elections.
