The Taraba State Police Command has reaffirmed its commitment to protecting lives and property before, during and after the Easter celebrations.
In a statement issued on Saturday on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Morkwap Sabastina Dongshal, and signed by the Acting Police Public Relations Officer, Victor Mshelizah, the command said comprehensive security measures have been put in place to ensure a peaceful festive period.

According to the statement, personnel have been deployed to churches, major highways, recreational centres and other public places across the state.
The command noted that the proactive measures are aimed at preventing crime and maintaining public order throughout the celebrations.
Residents were urged to remain law-abiding, vigilant and supportive of security agencies by providing timely and credible information.
The Commissioner also encouraged citizens to embrace values of peace, unity, tolerance and selflessness, describing them as essential for societal harmony and progress.
While extending Easter greetings to Christians, the command reiterated its commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all residents.
