“The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, wishes to inform the general public of the successful arrest of 20 foreign nationals in Danbare area of Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State,” the statement read.

The State Commandant, Mohammed Hassan Agalama, disclosed that the suspects are from Sudan, Chad, and other neighbouring countries.
“The suspects, comprising individuals from Sudan, Chad, and other neighbouring countries, were apprehended following credible intelligence and a coordinated operation by our operatives,” he said.
The NSCDC noted that preliminary investigations raised concerns about the presence of the individuals in the state.

Security operatives also recovered items from the suspects during the operation, including 10 Android phones.

The NSCDC reassured residents of its commitment to protecting lives and property, while urging members of the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities.
